The Stray Dogs
The Stray Dogs, hailing from the Bellarine/Surf Coast area.
This accomplished Acoustic/Electric Rock 2 Piece Duo have been performing all over the state for over 5 years.
Combining Indie Covers, Sing Along Aussie Favorites and some Retro Classic Rock, The Stray Dogs have performed all sorts of shows and events from birthdays to night clubs, front bars to festivals.
Paul started playing in rock bands when he was 17 and has always been a familiar face among the Geelong musicians and venues alike.
While his roots are in rock music, Paul has plays jazz, blues and country styles. His repertoire is extensive, allowing him to adapt to any audience. During the 80’s, Paul was often seen on stage supporting Australia’s top rock acts such as INXS, The Church, John Farnham, Little River Band, Kate Ceberano, Dragon, The Supremes[USA.] and many more.
Paul appeared in and played on the soundtrack of the television documentary called The Rough Life and has played all the main local venues.
A regular at coastal festivals, wineries, pubs and clubs as well as many private celebrations such as birthday parties, weddings and corporate events.
Tim Neal *& His Hammond Combo
Tim Neal is an Australian B3 Hammond organ player and saxophonist.
Tim has performed as part of the Paul Williamson Hammond Combo for the past 20 years at one of Melbourne’s longest Jazz residencies in Fitzroy “The Rainbow Hotel” and in a number of other bands including The Swingin’ Sidewalks, The Feelin’ Groovies, Festa and Banana Oil as well as his own Tim Neal Big Organ Band and The Tim Neal Trio.
Tim has toured extensively and played at many festivals, both in Australia and overseas and has shared stages and studios with many Australian and International acts including, Mavis Staples, Ricky Lee Jones, Dr. John, Ernest Ranglin, Joss Stone, Betty Harris, Bunny Ruggs, Duke Robillard, Jody Williams, Jimmy Smith, Gil Askey, Billy Boy Arnold, Lucky Oceans, Big Jay McNeely, Randy Crawford, Lucky Peterson, Mickey Tucker, Archie Roach, Paul Kelly, Shane Howard, Chris Wilson, Ross Wilson, Ross Hannaford, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Bobby Previte, James Taylor, Renee Geyer, Wendy Saddington, Jeff Lang, Fiona Boyes, Geoff Achison, Guy Pearce, Nichaud Fitzgibbon Yo Yo, Cattletruck, The Swinging Sidewalks, Melbourne Improvisation Association, BOITE Millinium Chorus, Kate

A group of romantic folkies , with the 2 colourful ladies, flanking Shane (Eddy) Jacobsen, Gypsy Smash’s frontman and main songwriter, will treat you to a heartfelt performance of predominantly original music, melodies and writing, influenced by our natural environment, its people and places. These multi instrumentalists, will take you on a ” Journey to happiness”, as one of their songs says – “all the colors of the rainbow” -that’s Gypsy Smash.
They play their heartfelt and honest brand of music, influence by the art of originality in songwriting, playing predominantly their own material, and blending covers of local and Australian songwriters .Their sound is bright and emotional, songs that play on the heart and reflect the depth of this country. From soulful ballads to passionate and upbeat , delivered with strong vocal harmonies.
Shane, Mel and Di have been the backbone of the band for the last 4 years, with the addition of Shamus recently on percussion and drums. All members live around the Bellarine and Surfcoast areas.
Whats Happening: Recent gigs at Beaves Bar, Tranquility Fair , Bellbrae Winery and coming gigs at Martians Cafe, Festival of the sea, and supporting Jordie Lane at Brakendell Torquay, will be keeping the band busy. The band were recently part of a musical production “ The Call of Home “ at The Courthouse Theatre which played to a full house with other local Geelong musicians .
Miguel Martinez is the creator of Los Locos. Miguel has played guitar and piano for over 30 years growing up in a Spanish household in Geelong with music constantly being played or listened to. Miguel has lived and travelled extensively in Spain and Latin America and returns whenever possible to visit family in Navarra Northern Spain. The love of music, food, dancing and fun culminate for Miguel in Los Locos. With Los Locos Miguel has the opportunity to experiment freely with natural acoustic latin sounds full of soul and sangre!
