The 2020 music program will consist of the following acts:
The Barwon Heads Chorale was the creation and vision of well-known local resident and music lover Jo Larson. She asked Natale Lewington to be the Chorale Director and Hazel Mitchell to be the Accompanist. With the retirement of Hazel at the end of 2015, choir member Sara Brownell took up the challenge of working as accompanist for the Chorale.
Sarah & the Singing Mermaids Local songstress Sarah Dawe shares the stage and her talent with some Barwon Heads youngsters.
Lumii is a 17 year old singer songwriter from regional Victoria who began writing about two years ago. She is inspired by peoples vulnerabilities, fears and artists including, Amy Winehouse, Carole King and Nina Simone. Writing alternative pieces inspired by blues, jazz and indie pop. Lumii released Avoidance as her first single.
Andrea Robertson has a knack for making music that gets into your system and feels immediately like an old friend. THE YEW FLAT are a fuzzy rotating three piece who are best known for getting noise complaints in the middle of the day and chilling out all the time. Including 75% of the band members from the Bellarine Peninsulas ‘The Striks’ with only a fraction of the talent. The Yew Flat have branched out from the intricate guitar solos and whimsical riffs put on display on The Stirks self-titled, first studio release, yes because they want to, but mostly because they have no other choice.
Fenn Wilson is an award-winning singer-songwriter from the Bellarine, with an incredible music pedigree. He’s acclaimed for the storytelling and pure feeling expressed through his music. “… Fenn Wilson is a supremely talented vocalist and multi-instrumentalist.
