The coastline provides an inspiring range of visual character and habitat for a diverse range of animals and plants as well as supports our use and suitable development.

The coastal reserve from 7W Collendina is predominantly threatened Coastal Moonah Woodlands and provides long uninterrupted views along the beach, whilst the Spit in Ocean Grove is unique in providing access to both the river and the sea environments The Bluff and 13th Beach provide a wild coast experience of cliffs, rock platforms, sand dunes and surf.

The festival brings thousands of people to Barwon Heads.
